Making a schedule is much more difficult than most people here understand.

My point being, I’m curious to know if there’s some national holiday or something

The truth is each team sends the NHL x amount of days they will host home games. From that list the NHL makes the schedule. It's why sometimes we only have one game or no games. As Arena are booked years in advance in some cases. Other sports also effect home dates.

No more football here in the states during the weekends so I’m sure that teams/league/marketers are taking advantage of that and pushing more games out to the country.

Money, I’m sure. Has a lot to do with it for the league. I’m usually out Saturday nights so I’d love for the Penguins to play more day games on the weekends.

I guess having to just check my phone instead of watching the Penguins recently is a more preferred option anyways.

If you are gonna play back to back weekend games and the Sunday game is early you have to play the Saturday game early also.

The only reason that wasn't a penalty was to have mercy on the Ducks, this game is going to be 4 - 0 before the period is over
