I won’t say they were dominant, but good players know how to do what they do. It’s like band mates understanding each others’ ebb and flow. Knowing the game counts for a lot, and Barzal knows the game.

Sure, luck could play a part. However, it isn’t like Barzal is a fluke.

If the league was serious about increasing scoring there would be no way a meaningless goal like the one Detroit just scored gets called back.

Disallowing a goal off a marginal call that would have 0 impact on the final result is just counter productive. It wouldnt change the outcome but it would give a team’s fans some enjoyment
