No, but one where they spanked Tampa Bay would be. Guess that ass beating we got from Calgary woke us up again.
we are significantly better than calgary, more or less dominated them so far this season playwise.
I don't think they have been playing poorly either short of a game here or there but finishing and goaltending have been an issue. The forwards are closing the deal and covering the dzone better. This is a marked improvement.I'm not sure the Calgary game or the Tampa game is ass beating or a spanking. Goal differential is only at 3 points. In today's NHL that's not massive. Seems like there is a lot of lead changes this year.
Like I said I agree the Sharks have played much better lately, but I don't think it goes back a couple of weeks as I feel they have been better for longer. I don't think they're rounding into form, I think they're already there and are part of that upper echelon of teams. Proclaiming it while thumping on the Oilers of all teams seems weird.
Ohhh man, lets get technical. I know it wasn't draft day. It was prior to draft day, lottery day. Same shit.a) that was not draft day
b) that's pretty tired material even if you did execute the joke well

Did you mean comparable and part of the upper end teams?
I think every team has issues except for Tampa, and nobody is winning all 82 games obviously, it just doesn't happen.
Goaltending has been a major issue for the Flames.
So the Flames goaltending is a strength now?no, we are significantly better than calgary.
The flames have a .921 goalie. The sharks have two mike smiths basically.
So the Flames goaltending is a strength now?
Significantly huh, ok.
If he could build a time machine I'm positive the first thing he would do would be to go back in time and eliminate the guy who came up with the draft lottery concept.McDavid looks like he hates life already
Fun thought based on how bad we (Ducks)looked against Edmonton the other nightThe Sharks had a 70.89% CF tonight in a game where they had the lead for over 53 minutes.
Lmao, "dirty players like Sam Bennett and Garnet Hathaway." Sam Bennett is a tough player, but has no disciplinary history because he is not a dirty player. He's not even really a rat anymore like he tried to be for a while as a rookie. He just likes to throw big, clean hits at this point and is willing to go to bat for his teammates. And Garnet Hathaway never does anything remotely noteworthy, let alone dirty.
Also, prior seasons don't factor into the current season. Especially not when so many things have changed. Prior history didn't prevent the Oilers from beating the Sharks in 2017, for instance.
If I'm confident about any one thing with the Sharks, it's that they never really look committed to good defensive-zone coverage when I watch them. Against the Flames they hung Aaron Dell out to dry, and that was a game for the division lead that they should have been up for. Their goalies look to be lacking confidence, and it's no wonder why. It reminds me of the Flames from early in the year circa the Pittsburgh game.
Someone mentioned it already but really San Jose, Jock Jams is your goal song?
Unless this is some '90's theme night, in which case I apologize.
