Your point still stands. It’s horrible.

Chia needs to be fired.

What in hell happened to Nurse? Last year he looked solid, this year he's feast or famine in his own zone, and you never know on any shift which you're getting until it's too late.

He’s been up and down. Little better offensively this year and this doesn’t get noted much.

Development with D men isn’t linear at this age, like many young D men it’ll be a roller coaster for the first 300 or so games.

Realistically he shouldn’t be shouldering the work load he does especially with Klefbom out.

How the hell were the Oilers a 100+ point team in 2017?

Yeah, Looch was better, but other than that, what was different?

Klefbom and Sekera weren't injured. That's a huge deal for a club that has little defensive depth.

Lots of offense gone with no Eberle and Maroon, IMO.

Talbot also played God mode the entire season.

Momentum in a season is a very real thing. A team can play consistently better hockey or consistently worse hockey depending on the vibe in the room and the confidence level of the players. The Flames had a similar contrast in two consecutive seasons under Bob Hartley and then the same thing again in two consecutive seasons under Glen Gulutzan. It was especially noticeable under Hartley that they had success in 2014-15 by playing a certain brand of hockey that required tons of hard work and discipline, and then over the off-season they relaxed, and had an entirely different attitude the next season. People suggest that they did the same things and just didn't get lucky the following season, but in reality, the brand of hockey they played was entirely different. Pretty much the same roster if not better, but an entirely different on-ice product.

I spoke to this guy who informed me that whether the Isles play any more games at Barclays after this season is Bettman's call #insideinformation

Will that toadstool actualy be stupid enough to force them to play games in that toilet of an arena?

Watching San Jose and other teams execute basic breakouts and comparing it to the way our D men wrap it around the boards and bank it off the glass is hard to watch.
