I hope the “coaches pull the goalie too early crowd” aren’t watching the Pens/Jets games. Jets pulled their goalie, down 3-0, with 5:50 seconds left in the game.
8 in a row now. That was probably the Penguins best game all year. The Jets were just outclassed in every phase.

The way the NHL scores 5 minute major goals is extremely dumb. It's almost as dumb as how plus/minus works.
If you don't score, you're 0 for 1.
If you score, you're 1 for 2.
If you score twice, you're 2 for 3.
If you score ten times, you're 10 for 11.
Why is there an automatic miss? I can score 10 goals and it's considered a kill?
It's one f***ing powerplay. If you score 3 times, you're f***ing 3 for 1.

Because it’s a continuous 5 minutes. So if you score once, you move onto another opportunity. The only way I could see the team not getting a missed opportunity is if the team scores with perfectly no time left.
Even with one second left, the puck is dropped and technically, that is a missed PP. Only thing it affects is the PP% so I’m not sure what the big deal is?

I mean it makes sense. You definitely can’t say they a team went 3 for 1 on a single power play. That would be stupid.

Man Dallas ice is awful. Kempny got diving call when everyone is falling everywhere and pucks are out of control.
Are officials often staying in the same conference? As long as the Caps have been out west there’s been some weirdly inconsistent and mind boggling refs
