It’s pretty recent. Maybe December it was announced? I know some in management were asking why there wasn’t a camera in the crossbar for goals specifically like that.

First time I saw the camera was during the Toronto - Tampa game on J.T. Miller's goal.

End to end action between Detroit and Nashville with huge saves by both goalies just now.

Not goals, but saves made the end to end action continue. A goal would’ve ended that exciting back and forth.

It’s not necessarily goals that are needed for exciting offensive hockey, but rather it’s scoring chances that are needed.
