In mid-December, Leafs fans were thumping their chests. Everyone else knew that reality would catch up to them on this road trip.

Ducks improve their record to 10-25-1 against Leafs after tonight.

Leafs meanwhile will stay clear 5 points out of a playoff spot.

Ducks PBP guys were saying last time the Ducks beat Toronto was 2008 in a shootout when Ron Wilson made a goalie change before the shootut.

They've cut down on the shots against.

Now they can't score.

It'll be interesting to see if they can adapt to a defensive system and start winning some games.

Every season is groundhogs day for Toronto. If it weren't for the one time they made the playoffs being a lock out shortened year that didn't allow them to crash down to earth in the non-existent second half of the season...we'd be at a million years with no playoffs.
