Everyone talks about how awful Lucic's contract but Backes kind of hides under the radar. The guy has 2 points in 17 games. Just got his first goal.

This is why worrying about paying your stars isn't that big a deal. Bruins got a great discount on Marchand, Pastrnak but then things even out with the ****ty deal for Backes who is paid like 3-4M more than he should be getting.

Yes but in real dollars he is due 5 million over 2 years on July 1st. Right when his NMC expires. He will be easy to move at 2x2.5 after the Bruins pay his bonus.
