I'm not a doctor but my great grandma was a witch doctor in West Virginia. Okay, she was really the herb doctor. Same basic thing. Genes are there. I also have experience with black widow spiders and bobbleheads...

Possibly one of his elders--great grandma died in 1946. Doubt she'd wear a top hat, though. My grandma knew a lot of her procedures, so she definitely shared some of it.
