He wouldn’t admit it, I suppose. But fewer games equals a fresher and more effective Henrik.
There was a thread a few days ago that got shutdown where a poster called out Lundqvist and said it was time for him to retire
that would have aged amazing lol
Lundqvist is the GOAT
I don’t know why it’s hard to both appreciate what Lundqvist has done and realize that the time to move on is quickly approaching. Those thoughts are not inherently enemies of one another.
Having said that, I don’t think this board will fully appreciate Lundqvist until after he’s gone.
Hank is still way more capable at his postion than Eli Manning is.The winding down of his career reminds me of Eli Manning. We can both love Hank and everything he’s done for this franchise, and realize that it’s probably time to move on.

he's not just capable but he's still really really good if you look at any of the advanced goalie stats that factor in how awful our defense is

There is one right now in which a poster suggested that if he could go back in time and not sign Henke to a long term deal, he would.
One can make a case that he is top-5 all time. There is plenty there to appreciate already.I don’t know why it’s hard to both appreciate what Lundqvist has done and realize that the time to move on is quickly approaching. Those thoughts are not inherently enemies of one another.

If Henke was playing on those Devs teams, he would have every record in the league. The thing with Lundqvist was the year to year consistency.
In any given year there was usually someone with slightly better numbers. But those names came and went, and varied by season. Lundqvist tended to be the constant.
You know what I would do if I was manager for NYR, if I could go back in time? Refuse to let Jagr leave and re-sign Nylander for another year. Not signing Drury, Gomez nor Redden. Not dumping Strålman, while signing Girar... what a minute, this would take ages to write.
That's true. You're right, signing Gomez was a winning move in the long run, but only because Montreal was even dumber, lol.Just remember, no Gomez no McD.

We are falling if the chart there. Does that mean we give up more scoring chances than any other team in the league? If so, last nights game would even skew that further.

It means we're middle of the pack in expected goals for, per 60 minutes, and dead-f***ing-last in expected goals against, per 60 minutes. We are falling if the chart there. What are you talking about? There is no amnesia. Corsi rules all!I'm not so sure, given the board's selective amnesia about Staal and Girardi's best years.
