Plot twist: With Abdelkader.

I actually like this move; it makes sense. I never understood having someone who plays physical with Datsyuk. I would rather have someone like Helm that can pressure defenses and retrieve lose pucks with their speed. Lets see if it holds up.

I honestly wouldn't mind something like:

Nyquist - Z - Franzen
Tatar - Sheahan - Alfie/Jurco
Miller - Glendening - Abd
Cleary, Andersson

That wouldn't be so bad.. but I think Cleary will take Mantha's spot

That actually makes sense even though at first glance most probably won't like it. Helm has always been a good possession player and his pts per 60 minutes at even strength are in line with top 6 forwards with it above 1.9 each of his last 3 seasons.

Could go D-Z-Weiss-Sheahan down the middle or put Weiss on someone's wing and have Glendening or Andressen as the 4th line center.

I could see Joker either being traded or waived, If waived hopefully some team picks him up. Don't see much of a future for him with the log jam of centers that we have now.

Not to shabby, Could live with it I guess. And this all depends if Alfredsson retires or not or plays another year. I would think that If Alfie does'nt play I would think that Jurco will be on the team.

Yeah, they need another highly skilled winger with Datsyuk if Helm is on the other wing.

I can't see them giving Helm 4th line minutes and they have lots of centers, so I think this is feasible as long as they have a Tatar or Nyquist next to Datsyuk. Helm could wreak a lot of havoc on the forecheck and won't need to carry the puck in with two other skilled players, so he can use his speed on the wing more effectively.

Would be interesting. More of a shooter and can carry the puck in too and is quick.
