It means that Jets and Hawks played statistically a relatively relatively even game but the Jets were let down by their goaltending.

They spent a solid minute discussing Crawford's season in the first period while play was on going. The first...you know, when the game was still a game? The jets had a real nice scoring chance and they literally didn't mention it...

Noel protecting a 4-1 deficit, oops 5-1 deficit or Noel new damn well Pavs stinky play deflated the team so much that a win was improbable.
