29 other teams can beat that offer for Hanifin
I think the 7th overall from Vancouver is a better offer....and yet, nobody is.
Not here, at least. Right age. Fills a need. Immediate returns. (Not centerpieced around a pick) I mean the value isn't right...but it's pretty-much best thus-far.
Hawks would have some cap issues to dance around.
The Canes are about to add RW Andrei Svechnikov. Why are they dealing away one of their most valuable trade assets to double down on one of their biggest strengths? Terrible trade logic for a team that needs to address #1C/#1G this offseason. Have to think of both teams.
yawn, this false narrative again..What cap issues
why are the owners/management team saying every damn player outside of Aho is available? Or did we suddenly forget about that?
it is a fair proposal, Canes likely don't do it as they "could" get more and as the Hawks side, we land a dman at 8 potentially as good as Hanifin while keeping our 30 goal scorer...
How drastically does the roster have to change for the Hurricanes to be successful?
"I think we need to make some changes. We have some players that have been here a long time. We've gone nine years missing the playoffs. I think if there's some change that needs to be made to change up the mix a little bit, the culture, we're certainly going to look at that. We're not in any desperate situation, it's not a fire sale. If every player comes back, that's perfect with us.
correct, I adjusted, I didn't see your next line about acquiring a center for Hanifin, it didn't load on my screen until I posted.....Nobody "suddenly forgot" about anything. You are just selectively reading what you want. Some critical thinking here and there would do the world a whole lot of good.
Hurricanes likely to 'make some changes,' GM says

because your GM said he will be milking down the team to build it back up ? he openly said he was trading some key pieces for other new key pieces.

because you aren't willing to read a couple more posts down:
Nobody ever said anything about "milking down and building back up". You are just selectively reading what you want. Some critical thinking here and there would do the world a whole lot of good.
Here is what the Canes GM is actually saying:

Hanafin is top 4 D man for 10+ more yrs in this league....WAY more valuable than Bebrincatit is a fair proposal, Canes likely don't do it as they "could" get more and as the Hawks side, we land a dman at 8 potentially as good as Hanifin while keeping our 30 goal scorer...
