First very little is still known about concussions. It is not as concrete as other injuries (Broken bones etc.) Moreover, it is different for each individual.

Several ways one could look at this:

If you receive a concussion soon after recovering from one… than you may be at greater risk of having more severe long-term symptoms.

Wait another two weeks to getting back into game action… maybe your timing is thrown off… leaving you susceptible to a more damaging hit.

In the end, Hockey is a dangerous sport… play at your own risk.

Kinda funny reading this thread about hamonic's concussion and then flipping through the visnovsky thread about not playing in the Olympics.

If both players are healthy and are cleared by the doctors, I don't see the problem with them playing

They could get just as hurt in practice, streit and okposo both missed significant time following injuries in practice. You never know.
