Yes. The understanding being that Hall would take a short term deal from a team he considers to be a contender right now, and would require money and term from a team like Montreal.

That kid who wrote that 'article' got so many clicks and site visits for writing something that more HF posters could surpass in insight, skill and thought. Amazing that it keeps creeping up as people don't read back through threads.

It would not be an awful Plan B for Nashville to grab Hoffman instead. If they can also swing a trade for Ryan Dzingel- probably not hard given he didn't really seem to fit in Carolina last year and has one year left on his contract- the Predators can reunite the Dzingel-Duchene-Hoffman line, which was really good in their time together in Ottawa. It would be worth exploring for sure.
