My opinion is the team is a playoff team even without Price.

If they make playoffs without Price than despite all the ups and downs MT reached expectations.

Of course, he'd be on thin ice but IMO playoffs are necessary to keep his job.

He might be a better right winger for sure, especially with this team's set of wingers. He gets the view of the centre of the ice with the puck on his stick, and doesn't have to worry too much about defense. And doesn't have to try and force the puck to Lars Eller.
