Halak helps his team scores goals. It's been known for a while now. He is so great he doesn't need to be on the ice. If he's in the lineup his team will score 1 more goal per game than without him.

Yeah, always nice to see a Q / "Hometown Boy" do well. especially one "we" had a chance at in a reasonable non reach spot.

I am one who wishes the Habs tried a bit harder at picking homegrown (I am Anglo). However one must acknowledge that pressures in this organization for a "franco" homegrown may be counter productive. Though if one has the character and fortitude to succeed in the pro game, this additional pressure and hurdle should not be the deciding "bust" factor...

Then there is the MT - Lefebvre factor.... But then from reading the Isle's board Capuano also seems just as unpopular and seems to have the same "faults" as our beloved MT. But then, this seems to be a universal truth for all fan bases on these boards!!! (Even the mighty Leaf's coach....)

Sigh, still Beauvillier...Duclair....Giroux.........
