Thing is, if you're going to blame the players for not executing... you have to look at how they're used.

Well not really. Players need to execute by not shooting on Bishop. While it was a great saves, for Plekanec to not shoot directly in Bishop's glove. For not missing empty nets etc. While the system sucks, they still have chances so it's to bury those chances. Clearly, if they could change the system, they'd even have more chances and probably more quality of chances. But it does not excuse the players to not bury the chances they have. We totally dominated the game last game....should have been 5-0 after 1 period, and it wasn't, no matter how bad the system is or was.

You can maybe blame the first line for not executing. They at least have a line that makes sense put together. Although they did manage the only goal of the game.

The other lines were a mess. I'm not going to blame Eller for not executing when he's setting up Brandon Prust and I'm not going to blame Brandon Prust for being Brandon Prust. Put Galchenyuk with Eller and then you can blame the players for not executing.

They got 1 goal and it was a terrible goal on Bishop.

They were not good enough offensively.

They did not do enough to win the game.

And they lost the game.
