Even if people talk about his speed and his great PK play, Ti-Paul is still a really underrated overall hockey player IMO. The guy is a 5on5 beast out there... It was extremely noticeable last night that he was in the lineup. That third line was looking great even if Kotka didn't have his best game.
He's really is a threat in open ice and a full press PP can offer up some of that. As far as being a great PK specialist I never bought into that because our historical underlying numbers just haven't reflected that at all. The thing is one shortie can change a game and most people will see that long before they see poor lane coverage or missed assignments. Certainly not all on him but he's had his share of issues IMO.
Good to have another weapon for 3v3 and 4v4 we need it.
