are those critical draws?

What do you consider critical draws? PK, 3 on 3, defensive zone in a tight game?

Maybe I’m wrong about his faceoffs; what are his stats on critical draws this season that show he’s been really good?

Officially (aka nhl.com), there is no end of game faceoff when trailing or for protecting a lead stats. The best there is for critical faceoffs are PK/PP stats. I'm not seeing a 3v3 faceoff stats.

PK % (# draws):
Danault: 44.8% (67)
Suzuki: 34.8% (23)
Evans: 47.7% (44)
KK : 100% (only 1)

PP % (# draws):
Danault: 33.3% (6)
Suzuki: 46.6% (58)
Evans: 100.0% (only 2)
KK : 50.0% (30)

Event Strength % (Evans took the lowest amount with 160):
Danault: 53.3%
Suzuki: 41.9%
Evans: 50.0%
KK : 44.1%

Faceoff per zone:
Danault: nz: 52.5% oz: 53.9% dz 49%
Suzuki: nz: 39.4% oz: 38.2% dz 50.5%
Evans: nz: 51.4% oz: 42.3% dz 53.7%
KK : nz: 38.2% oz: 47.2% dz 48.5%

Some other notes:
Faceoff wins are attributed based on your team getting puck possession.
Danault's faceoff % have been dropping since the start of the season.
Evans was good at it in the AHL, now it's just player experience, his are climbing.
Suzuki is stable between 30-50%.
KK is unstable, one game he can be 20% and the other one 80+%.

This year Julien was mostly using Suzuki in trailing/defending end of game faceoffs instead of Danault.

In general, a center doesn't get good at faceoff until he's around 23-24 and only the Habs seems to care about them. Who the Jets sent in OT ? Mark Scheifele with his 44.3% this year...

Toffoli is also defensively responsible.

Semin was actually very good defensively. Lacking along the boards and not necessarily the most involved player, or even the most consistent, but he was very good defensively.

Semin being a defensive blackhole might have been one of the most curious misconceptions about a player I ever witnessed.
