Seems pretty reasonable to me. When he first entered the league, I thought he was a plug who made too many errors and handled the puck like a grenade. But he's gotten much better and actually moves quite well for a big man, makes a decent first pass, and is quite reliable.

This deal is a relative bargain. Gryba was, with Ceci, one of the few positives on defence last year. Every other player had some sort of struggles, but he consistently played well. I don't see him as nearly as expendable as some people do, it would be just as easy to have a real trainwreck in this spot for twice the money or more.
