On paper US looks stronger, and with a complete lack of a system (and overall structure) in swedens play I have a hard time seeing any outcome than an american victory.

I think Sweden will take USA very seriously and play better than we have before. This team has much higher potential. I'm thinking 4-2 Sweden.

So...the US doesn't need a win here to advance to the next round, right?

I still don't think this U.S. team is all that great, but the sum appears to be better than it's parts, so I hope for a good game. D and Montoya will have to be solid as Sweden is a much better opponent than Norway and Austria (with all due respect to Norway's win over Sweden).

I'm having the same problem. According to my guide, the game will be shown on tape delay at 11:00p.m. on Versus. The 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m slot on Versus is populated by hunting/fishing shows.

Is a good goalie but shutting out Austria is not the same as stopping a team full of NHL:ers

That's a bold statement since our staff said no to about 10 AHL/NHL players around the calibre of some players on this U.S. team. Their depth comes from NA, our from Europe, nothing to be staring yourself blind at.

The U.S. defense is one or two notches better but hopefully we got the better goalie and Loui can show that he is > anybody on the ice.
