Thats an interesting (and rare) photo, Raiders vs Saints.... never seen it before..... The Raiders falling victim to the NHL as it was the clubs intention to play out of the recently opened Nassau Coliseum on Long Island however.... the NHL awarded an Expansion Franchise to LI effectively leaving the Raiders scrambling & homeless.... winding up at MSG where under that name, played a season (2nd worst record in the WHA, sparse crowds), then changed their name to the Golden Blades... then moved to the Philly suburb of Cherry Hill NJ & renamed themselves yet again as the Knights.... funny story about the Cherry Hill Arena that was vacated by an ECHL team, seems the ice surface had a wicked slope to it with the Visiting Team having to skate up-hill for 2 periods.... True story.

Do i see glasses?

Your eyes do not deceive you. Although it was not common to see a player wear glasses at the pro level, there was the occasional individual that did. Probably the most well known hockey player that wore glasses was Al Arbour who played for Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and St. Louis. In regards to Jack Carlson in the picture, he wore glasses during his time with the Minnesota Fighting Saints and continued wearing them into his early years with the New England Whalers before switching to contact lenses and playing the rest of his pro career without glasses.
