I have no problem with Bradley. The giveaway that led to the equalizer is what is making everyone be overcritical of him. Had the US been aggressive and gone for an insurance goal in stoppage time (as I mentioned previously) then a screw up or two with a minute or two remaining is fine and no one would be complaining about Bradley today. He's been fine.

Does the bolded sound alot like Alex Ovechkin?

Half and half. Pirlo is not going to score goals on a rush or off the run of play. I think all of his Serie A goals this season were off of set pieces. Obviously I don't expect casual World Cup watchers to be Pirlo-experts. You can't expect him to put the ball in the net. He can, however, come out of nowhere and deliver a perfect ball to a forward ultimately leading to a goal.

I guess you can compare him to Ovechkin where he's either brilliant or crap.

Ovechkin also is lacking a beard that can lead a symphony on its own.

And the fact he missed a sure goal in front of the net. And the fact he also failed to take time off the clock in the FIRST game as well. The supposed MLS scrub (Wondo) did what he was supposed to do with time running out yesterday, why couldn't Bradley do that in 'either' game?

You've thought Bradley is overrated for the last 4 years and can't fathom why he's starting and is considered our most important player? Well where have you been the last 2 years in the lead up to this tournament? I haven't seen you post that once here. Sounds like you haven't watched much over this cycle and are basing everything off of what you saw these last 2 games.

One thing's for sure.

I bet Bradley's Plus-Minus(does that exist in soccer?) would be eons better than OV's anyway.

So there is your European win over a tough South American side today.

I am definitely impressed by the Dutch.

Think Brazil and Crotia is moving on from Group A here.

Netherlands and France are the two best teams in this tournament.

Brazil is once again screwing around with a lesser opponent. There basically a one man team right now.

And Brazil's probably going to luck out and get Chile too, since they own them.

Pretty hilarious that without the US helping them out, Mexico wouldn't even be here. Now there going to advance.

edit: If they got one more goal they win the group, LOL.

Mexico/Netherlands will be interesting. That's not going to be a cakewalk for the Dutch. Mexico has seemed to really find something. They were great in the group stage.

Please.... Italy... today... no more screwing around.

Coach Prandelli si finally getting his crap together. Finally fielding a 3-5-2 with Barzagli-Chiellini-Bonucci on the back line. Hopefully Immobile with Balotelli at striker. He really wants to play Candreva and Veratti but Montolivo should get a shot.

Seriously! Those three in the back play together every week at Juventus. That back three gave up 23 goals in 38 games this season. There's no reason not to use them.

Yea that chemistry is no joke... Why not use it ?? Them 3 + Buffon would have no lapses in the back..
