Yeah, scoring is up this year which is good to see. Also only 5 shutouts to I believe, was a time not to long ago we'd have 5 shutouts over 3 or 4 nights. Great to see scoring going up, makes for a more exciting game.

IIRC, pants, gloves, and thigh rises are smaller, but the chest protector rule has been pushed back.

No. There's been no changes to equipment

There was talk of phasing in the pant change but no one could agree a good way to implement that and have it be fair since team schedules don't all align.

Thigh rises and glove weren't even on the docket.

There a bunch of rookies in the league (sixty something) and they been making rookies mistakes. Nothing wrong with that. On top of that you got four or five starter that are hurt.
