Nashville didn't lose because of bad calls. Not calling a high stick was the right call to do. It would have been completely moronic for them to actually call a penalty on that, and you just know that if they had then within the next 30 sec a make call up would follow. Good on the refs, one of the rare times they take a good decision.
In OT, Smith blocked Eller's stick that caused a trip, it was the right call.

If they had stand with their call that would have be a 4 minute penality since the guy was cut :help:

He has a point though. I'd be pretty pissed if Eller did that to Craig Smith and the Habs got a penalty in OT.

I also wasn't happy with the reversed call. Yeah, they got it right, but it's setting up a terrible precedent if you look at a replay and decide to overturn your initial call. Hopefully it was simply a linesman that told the ref what he saw, but it does look bad.
They got the right call though. Ribs should shut his mouth but being an idiot is what he's all about.

If they're going to whine about a call at least do it on a call that it makes sense to whine about. The OT call at least I could understand. On this one though? The refs got it right, never should've been a call in the first place.

Jones is awesome.

“High risk, high reward nowadays†is how Seth Jones, a twenty-year-old American defenseman for the Nashville Predators (and the son of Popeye Jones, the former N.B.A. rebounding specialist), put it to me, mentioning that Subban has become “the face of modern defensemen.â€

Lol I love how Desharnais gets credit for the net front presence there when he did nothing.

I wonder what the folks on L'antichambre had to say about that

One of the few forwards actually trying the first two periods

How many games this season have we said something similar?

How many games this season have the Habs been able to get 1 or even 2 points because of stellar goaltending and turning the game around past the midway point?

Seems to be a coaching issue.

And unlike others, I do NOT see it as a positive that they turn on this extra gear late in games when they're losing...that's not a path to success in the NHL.

The main board can go **** themselves then. Anybody who thinks there is a conspiracy is out of their mind.

I'm pretty sure I also heard Subban give DD major props in an interview after the game for his screen and didn't think he scores that goal in OT if it wasn't for DD's screen. I think Subban meant to say Jones instead of DD since it looks like Jones is somewhat screening Hutton to me and not DD.

Yeah, I assume they convened with the linesmen and overturned it. That makes sense. But in the setting it looked bad. The decision wasn't made until after the replay was shown with the crowd booing. It obviously isn't the reason they reversed the call, but it looked bad in that context.

Yeah saw that. Subban was complimenting him on the pass more than the screen I think.

I have to say, I love watching people go out of their way spinning their wheels and basically hyperventilating to discredit the guy. Makes you want to root for him more. Exact same thing as how people dismiss PK no matter what he does. Makes you appreciate the and root for the guy more.

TBH, I don't think I've ever heard our fans collectively boo that loud. I was there live and it might have been even louder than when Subban scored the OT goal.

He seems a lot faster and explosive this season. He's been more than just a sparkplug this season, that's for sure.

He does miss out on a lot of plays though. I don't think he's fit to play with high skilled player like Galchenyuk, Sekac do his role much better there IMO. I'd rather see him with Plekanec every night since he's so good defensively.

Yeah, prior to this season I was on the "what we've seen is all we're getting" train of thought but he has proven me wrong this year despite not putting up monster points. And it's not like anyone on this team is anyway.
