Will most likely be a tight checking, low scoring affair..Wonder if the Kings employ the 1-3-1…?

What always bugged me about Benning doing stuff like this is it overshadowed the actual good qualities players brought. Sutter was good for us but not as the moronic "foundational player" nonsense Benning ascribed to him but as a solid third line shutdown center who could move up the line in a pinch when needed.

He was essentially Blueger or Sutter but paid as though he was Kesler given the cap hit at the time.

Anyone know the reason for the early start time?
My best guess is we are climatizing Rogers Arena staff to handle earlier starts in preperation for the Western Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Finals. Get ready for 5pm starts!

My guess is that because only two games are on and no Canadian teams are playing so they moved down the start time to make it more friendly to people viewing on the East Coast.

I like my answer more. Go away you!

thats a no for me for 5pm starts in the west coast.. majority of the people here would be working. 7pm starts are the way to go. say van vrs vegas or la kings. 7 is better.

In analyzing the Canucks schedule this spring, somebody in the front office was actually doing their homework.

After a tortuous month of travel in February, the Canucks will wrap up a nine-game homestand next weekend, punctuated by lots of rest and practice time. They have no games in the Eastern Conference left, and play only road-games in basically the same time-zone.

They'll be all set and refreshed for the playoff opener. At least their schedule is giving them a chance to win when it counts.

if van meets vgk, beat the defending stanley cup champions will instill alot of confidence in the team and the whole talk about how this "core" has less playoff experience disregarding the ones on the team whose won the cup can shut up about it.
