17 home games and 11 away games remaining. The worst of the schedule is over with. They should have this under control. That 9 game homestand in March will be very nice to better their structure going into the post-season.

Seeding for the bottom echelon of the teams will be interesting. Blues, Kings, Preds, Flames, Wild, Kraken, Coyotes are all battling for those Wild Card spots.

Canucks don't have many creampuff teams on the schedule for the rest of the season. Lots of games like this one where the other team is fighting to get into/stay in the playoffs. They also only have 6 more Eastern teams on the schedule.

Playoff Teams:
Red Wings
Jets (3)
Avalanche (2)
Bruins
Kings (4)
Golden Knights (3)
Stars
Oilers

Above .500:
Wild
Kraken
Penguins
Capitals
Flames (2)
Coyotes (2)

Creampuff:
Ducks (2)
Sabres
Canadiens

So strange that the Canucks are among the league leaders in games played, yet, are still in a busy period of their schedule. Have a tough B2B on the road in Min/Col next Mon/Tue. First 2 day break is between the Bos and Pitt home games after returning from the 3 game road trip next week. And sandwiched in between that was 2 B2B.

But, said it before, better than being Edm, who will only be at 57 games vs our 62 at the end of Feb. Last game is April 18, so 49 days left of the schedule for March/April, and they have to play 25 games, basically every other day. Verus Van who averages 2.5 days per game. Lots of practice time and days off if needed for the players to get ready for the PO in the last 3 weeks of March after the TDL. 5 games in hand sounds great when you have 50 games left, not when you are down to the final 7 weeks of the season and having to play every other day for those 7 weeks.

Perfect. Some good competition to get them prepped for the playoffs.

Griddy. Speaking of griddy, that griddy thing was weird. Griddy in Philly is one thing, but griddy after an OT goal, thats a lot of griddy. Griddy thing is out of control. Griddy

Okay, Canucks. You must uphold THE CODE. Time to deal with Walman. I expect you to turn him into a flea, and then put that flea in a box. And then, you'll put that box inside another box. And then, you'll mail the box to yourselves. And when it arrives, YOU'LL SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER!

Zadorov returns to the lineup after his two-game suspension......ironically for a high, head-shot on Lucas Raymond of the Wings. But I doubt there's any carry-over since Raymond returned to action i the same game.

Wings coming off a blowout loss in Edmonton two nights ago--so they'll be motivated. They're currently locked into a life-and-death struggle for the final couple of wildcard spots in the East. We're entering the homestretch of the season, and every game from here-on-in will be tough.

I’m hoping being back on home ice rejuvenates our top players a bit. All of our guys who went to the ASG (except Demko) have looked pretty lethargic the last few games outside of a few moments. We need our best players to be our best players as we enter the stretch drive.
