I expect

Tyler Toffoli to score
Canucks play well for 1 period
We give up a lead
We let in a short handed goal.

That’s my parlay tonight. Pays 625/1

I hear what people are saying......The Flames are 'all in' for today. It's 'win or else'. Some of their best players are over-30 or pushing 30 and they've surrendered a bushel-full of draft picks to build their roster.

Of course the trade-off is that they really have nothing in the pipeline, and not many draft picks left to re-stock. So Treliving has pushed all of his chips into the of the table, and his fate is in the hands of the dealer.

It's so bizarre the constant romanticizing of the 2011 'leadership' core, in comparison to todays.. as if the exact same criticisms didn't exist back then.

The Sedins were passive af, never really hated to lose, and had endless shenanigan's on their 'led' team. Kesler and Burr would frequently cross lines while taunting other teams, pulling stunts etc.

Edler was a careless suspension magnet, who never once lifted a finger for a teammate on ice.

Bieksa, aka Casual Kev.. not a name he got undeservedly to say the least.

These guys built the country club, it may have been a well oiled club... but a club none the less.

That group went on 1 deep run, then never won a series again (and only 1 single playoff game) until the 1st year of the current core was assembled. They were dismantled a few seasons later with enough drama and baggage, that its still making headlines over 10 years later lolol.

These days we just have to worry about the kids playing too many video games, and a guy who swears loudly near the rink mic's.

It's funny seeing stuff like the Sedins never really hated to lose just because of how soft-spoken they are. Their play on the ice, the thing that you know, actually determines whether or not a team actually wins, was dominant and says otherwise. During a time period in which Ovechkin, Crosby and Malkin were at their peak (not just their prime, their peak), Henrik won the Art Ross and Hart trophies, and Daniel won the Art Ross as well. To say that they never really hated to lose might be the most moronic thing I've read on these boards, which is actually quite impressive. During the peak of that core, (2010-2012), the only teams they lost to were the eventual Stanley Cup winners.

Miller could of banged his stick on the ice if all he was doing was trying to get Delias attention, the force of smashing it on the net just looked disrespectful and unnecessary imo.

Miller has this annoying attitude when things dont go his way and he makes these weird reactions to things sometimes that's just garbage, this just adds to the list of crap he does. I guess other players should start wacking the boards with their stick when they want to get Millers attention to get a pass, or slam their stick as hard as they can on the ice to get his attention. Little things others could do that would eventually look ridiculous doing, Miller is just a bad signing and bad person imo for younger players to learn from.

Reason why he'd make a really sh*tty Captain. I appreciate he cares (frankly some of other players on the team should be showing the same amount of emotion) but yeah, it's all unfocused. Great player to have when the team is on a roll; first guy that looks like he'll bail when team is in distress.

The impatient fans here always bitch about the captains personality...(whoever it is)..Doesnt speak up enough, speaks too much..Doesn't stick up for teammates..etc

Its a thankless job...and yes, JT Miller is far from perfect..but he is a team leader.

Team leaders don’t float, ignore defensive responsibilities, pout, quit on the play… he’s exactly the kind of guy who’d drop down a division in Rec hockey and put up ridiculous numbers while getting kicked off his team.

You sound like someone who followed that team on the radio, with the sound turned off.

Horrible horrible take on the twins, with zero basis in fact.

You don’t get kicked off the team when you put up almost 100 points a season (on pace for 75 this season)…leading the team

He was the only core forward to show up in the first half of last season..He carried them..leading the team He’s far from perfect, but there’s little doubt that he wants to win..

Miller with another lazy mail it in performance and his typical 4 ridiculous giveaways

Book it

But he will have no problem calling out “teammates”

Wish Schenn would beat the crap out if him on behalf of the players

One year and a rfa year to boot, he knew he could fool incompetent PA and Sleepy Jim

No coincidence

He was dumped by the Rangers and Tampa for a reason

Slow, lazy, easy to knock off the puck, weak, locker room cancer

The team re-signing him is a fair debate..

Why was he dumped from Tampa..?

When was the last time you were in the Canucks locker room..?
