Florida is garbage, but the future is looking bright. With only Domi, Weegar, Matheson, and Bobrovski having contracts that extend past three years we have set ourselves up for a couple very successful trade deadlines and further stocking the prospect cupboard. Our next two or three 1st rounders should be top five, Florida has a real chance at becoming a dynasty.

I'd be fine on lowball offers just to respond that player X will be sitting out/heading to the KHL instead

Fair, but the reasoning is that we don't draw enough offers to let the market play out. You might have got one or two more offers if we left it open for another day if you were lucky. FA is usually a one day event for us.

And yes as someone mentioned, if the offer is too much of a lowball just don't sign it and let the GM know. Retirement/Europe is common for guys and that's fine cause it maintains the competitive balance.

But as I mentioned in the DM I definitely appreciate you stepping up to take the agents role and you did a great job.

Flames were busy, signing Hoffman, Leivo, Janmark, Lewis, Maroon and Talbot in FA.

Although the Flames were rebuilt a bit, they honestly aren't that bad now even which should help the prospects development. The goaltending has been upgraded with Andersen, the D is very young but still very good and deep, and the offense may lack high end offensive threats but is pretty deep as well.
