Max Pacioretty - Jonathan Toews - Mark Stone
Jonathan Marchessault - William Karlsson - Reilly Smith
Brandon Saad - Chandler Stephenson - Jesper Fast
William Carrier - Nick Cousins - Ryan Reaves

Mattias Ekholm - John Klingberg
Shea Theodore - Alec Martinez
Derek Forbort - Ron Hainsey

Darcy Kuemper
Mike Smith

Other Cap: 0.500m
Total Cap Hit: 81.500m
Salary Cap: 81.500m
Cap Space: 0.000m

After signing Fast, Forbort, Hainsey and Smith in UFA to help our depth, we have exactly $0 in cap space.

However, through our trade additions of Toews, Saad, Ekholm, Klingberg and Kuemper, we feel we have turned a contender into a unstoppable team.

Dam Vegas looks really strong. Besides 3C and the bottom defence pairing no real weak points

Flames were busy, signing Hoffman, Leivo, Janmark, Lewis, Maroon and Talbot in FA.

Although the Flames were rebuilt a bit, they honestly aren't that bad now even which should help the prospects development. The goaltending has been upgraded with Andersen, the D is very young but still very good and deep, and the offense may lack high end offensive threats but is pretty deep as well.

Outside of this roster, we still have many prospects outisde the NHL that should make an impact:

Top-10 Prospects
Jake Oettinger (G)
Dustin Wolf (G)
Oliver Kylington (D)
Timothy Liljegren (D)
Connor Zary (C)
Marat Khusnutdinov (C)
Jan Jenik (W)
Jacob Pelletier (W)
J.J. Peterka (W)
Glenn Gawdin (W)

These combined with our tons of young NHL talent should make us a power house once we find a couple more high end forwards.

I like how this team just wanted to make a lot of moves without any clear indication of if they wanted to rebuild or contend

Yeah 3C I would have liked to upgrade but cap / limited assets didn't allow it. Stephenson is pretty solid though.

Bottom pair I wanted Boro-Demelo but just got outbid on both. Should have made bad offers to some better D like I see some did but oh well lol

Jacob Markstrom - 6.200/5
Craig Anderson - 1.000/1

After dealing Demko it was important to bring Markstrom back to have a strong goalie. Anderson will have a reduced work load play in front of an actual NHL defence which should help his numbers.

Tried to keep this build realist to win today and in the future. With 27.500M coming off the cap next season it’ll be easy to sign Pettersson and Hughes to 3 year bridge contracts, those contracts will line up with Voracek and Myers to ensure we can keep both long term.

Depth will take a hit next offseason, but we feel through UFA signings and prospects coming up we can continue to be competitive.

A little over two hours to get your final roster up IN THE ROSTER THREAD. Whatever is there will be what I will use for the voting thread. If you do not have a roster up you will be disqualified.

CAR/PIT likely done too, unless someone wants to put together a Hail Mary for Malkin.

CAROLINA

Teuvo Teravainen ($5,400,000) - Sebastian Aho ($8,454,000) - Andrei Svechnikov ($925,000)
Anthony Duclair ($4,000,000) - Vincent Trocheck ($4,750,000) - Martin Necas ($863,333)
Warren Foegele ($2,000,000) - Jordan Staal ($6,000,000) - T.J. Oshie ($5,750,000)
Ryan Dzingel ($3,375,000) - Trent Frederic ($925,000) - Brock McGinn ($2,100,000)

Jaccob Slavin ($5,300,000) - Dougie Hamilton ($5,750,000)
Jake Bean ($863,333) - Tyson Barrie ($5,000,000)
Jake Gardiner ($4,050,000) - Haydn Fleury ($1,500,000)

Petr Mrazek ($3,125,000)
James Reimer ($3,400,000)

Scratched
Eemeli Suomi ($1,000,000)
Jordan Martinook ($2,000,000)
Gustav Forsling ($874,125)

I think Carolina's present and future are VERY strong. I augmented their lineup with some scoring (Duclair, Oshie, Barrie) while getting a nice upside lottery ticket in Suomi out of Finland. This team rolls three really strong lines with some toughness and defense mixed in too. Prospects (Suzuki, Bean, Sprong) are all top-six viable.

My final rosters are posted

:habs

Really happy with what I did as I feel I was able to fill all the needs to bring the team at the next level. We got a french canadian superstar (Huberdeau), size in the top 6 (Tuch) and a top 4 LHD (Leddy).

:sens

I have to say that I had more fun than expected with the Sens. It was all about assets management. Getting Demko, Wahlstrom and two second round picks for nothing (taking Eriksson, Boychuk and Perreault contracts) was huge for the rebuild. I was also able to get 13th overall for Duclair, and McIsaac in a deal for Tierney.

All things were being close to perfect, until @SJSharks39 forgot my draft list... ;)

Great young team, veterans to support them, many contracts coming off the books after the season that will give us the opportunity to continue our assets management by taking other bad contracts.

Not too worried about the future with Pittsburgh, the time is now. Almost moved Malkin, but likely won't unless some huge deal comes down the pike. Shipachyov shores up the center beyond the big two, and I think he'll be happy and productive with Malkin (and I'd re-sign Gonchar as an Asst) there to ease him in.

I really like what Sorensen, Leskinen, and Joseph will bring to the team as the Pens looked a step slow this past playoffs, and Greiss is an excellent backup for the price. I also held firm on moving Samuel Poulin, who I think will be a huge part of the Pens' next core along with Guentzel, McCann, Jarry, and Marino.
