We've had similar concepts in the past with varying success.

I also would like to propose the idea of a "Best GM of the Game" award, essentially for the GM who did the best job with their team, even if they failed to capture a Cup or 1st overall (the winner of the rebuilders).

Actually, I believe you get my 2019 2nd only now. 2019 1st to NYR was if I WON the cup,which I did not
