Reilly, Doughty, Muzzin, Stralman...our Achilles heel (D) is now our strength. Added to our elite firepower of Matthews, Marner, Tavares and Kapanen, and palat and Backlund leading possibly the leagues best shutdown line...this series will be a barnburner!

I think it is fair to say this is a contender.

The 1st and 3rd lines are pure offense while the 2nd and 4th provide a defensive presense to go along with their skills.

Our top pair features 2 top-10 D in the game. The 2nd pair has 2 great shutdown guys. And our 3rd pair will bring the offense (having combined 60 points in less than 100 games this year). Hainsey is a great vet #7.

Finally we brought a reliable vet backup in case needed but with Vasi here that is just insurance.

Volts Bolts 1st!

Vote :bolts!

Nobody can match this teams star power and they are stacked right to the bottom of the lineup

Very pleased to have made it this far, although I think it might be the end of the road

Tampa just has way too many assets.

Connor brown and sparks can be moved for picks/prospects.

We fully believe we're the 2nd best team in the NHL, but will be tinkering in the off season barring the NHL letting us change divisions ;) Congrats to Tampa on the battle

I can honestly say IDK how my Sharks lost to Vegas. Good luck to you

Well, Vegas beat San Jose last year in the real playoffs.

Since then (IRL and in game), the Sharks added E. Karlsson, Dzingel, and Matheson.

Vegas added Pacioretty, Stastny, Kopitar, Kane, Hjalmarsson, Keith, and Martinez while subtracting W. Karlsson, Tuch, and Theodore.

I think you were probably favored a bit, but it's certainly close enough to be interesting. The coin flips make things interesting. I lost as a #1 seed once because of coin flips.

Coin flips, or else Sharks woulda had it.

But luck is part of the game sometimes and that's how she goes...

This "luck" may also be foreshadowing to the results of the finals...

One more vote and we can announce the Stanley Cup winner.

By a score of 5-4, the winner of the Stanley Cup is...

:vegas

Congratulations Vegas!

Apparently despite what we felt was an unbeatable team, luck was not on our side with Vegas winning all 3 coin flips along with getting 2/6 votes.

Vegas was able to squeak their way be each round with 5 votes winning each of their series. They had a lot of luck to accomplish this, but good on them for finding a way.

It was a heart-breaking loss, but we are determined to come back and win next year. We will once again have a VERY strong team.

HOWEVER, despite our actions to go after players with good salaries, we still need to move out a lot of cap this offseason in the form of one of our big players likely.

Brayden Point, Steven Stamkos, Chris Kreider, Yanni Gourde, Alex Killorn, Alex Pietrangelo and Mike Green are all OTB.

Point especially will take a ransom, but we are open to moving him given his RFA status.
