Confirm. Extremley tough to give up Point but this deal clears over 10m in cap that I had to do. Under the circumstances, we are VERY happy with the return and are still in great shape for another run.

Marleau or Palat still being discussed from the Leafs. Given that all the big name Fs have signed already, this would be q good Top 6 option in a shallow fa pool

The cap crunch isn't as bad as we thought - we have about 1.5M in space currently, but we have 5 roster positions to fill.

As such, everyone except Anze Kopitar and Patrick Kane is available for the right deal that moves enough salary out.

Marchessault (5M), Smith (5M), Pacioretty (7M), Stastny (6.5M), Keith (5.5M), Schmidt (6M), Miller and Eakin (3.9M each, especially these two), Haula (2.8M), and Fleury (7M) all could be shipped out.

We also are dangling a low pick to move Jon Merrill, if anyone wants him.

This move gets us another top pairing dman and gets rid of some dead cap. The price wa shigh losing the 5th OA, but outside of the top 3 we don't see anyone that it more valuable than a 3.75m Ekblad.

We would also like to announce the signing of Dante Fabbro's ECL 3 years at 925k
