  • The salary cap maximum from the trade deadline to the entry draft is $71.4M.
  • There will be no salary cap minimum from the trade deadline to the entry draft.
  • Full cap hits will be moved in trades.
  • For salary retention, multiply a player's cap hit by .(%). ex. $5M w/ 25% retained = $5M x .25 = $1.25M.
  • An injured player that is expected to return by the actual NHL trade deadline may be used on your roster.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players at the trade deadline.
  • Teams may have as many players on their playoff roster as they wish.
  • The salary cap maximum for the 2016-2017 season is TBA.
  • The salary cap minimum for the 2016-2017 season is TBA.

[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the current NHL standings.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Teams are permitted to use a maximum of TWO ordinary buyouts.
  • Buyout Calculator
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and RR or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player(s) to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH RR and IR prior to posting. Keep in mind that many NTCs or NMCs will NOT be waived.
  • The commissioners will provide a 5 to 8-team no-trade list for players with an unspecified "limited NTC" upon request.
  • NTC/NMC LIST
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals must be significantly altered in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC will still be valid with their new team.

All of these players are available and can be had for the right price. I will be looking for high end prospects / young players in return. Ideally looking for a two way 2nd line centre / future 2nd line centre and a high end winger prospect / current NHLer. I am willing to discuss any other ideas you might have for the above players, but anyone over 27 years old or a pending UFA is of absolutely no interest to me. Picks and prospects years away from ever having a shot at the NHL are also of limited interest, as I am looking to re-tool, not rebuild. I am not in a hurry to move any of these players, and will happily keep them if need be, so please do not lowball. It will not happen.

Mitchell, Comeau, Holden, and Stuart are also available. I will listen to any offer on these players.

Zadorov and Rantanen will absolutely not be moved, as well as our first round pick, but I can discuss the possibility of moving others (Bigras, Bleackley).

Happy with the youth movement underway in Vancouver. Confident we can move forward as a competitive team while retaining guys like Horvat, McCann, Virtanen and Hutton in the lineup. Would like to add a Top 4 defenseman and Top 9 winger.

Dustin Byfuglien: Looking for picks/prospects/young NHL players.
Andrew Ladd: Same as Byfuglien, but I'm going to see if I can re-sign him first.
Ondrej Pavelec: Looking to swap to another goalie.

Looking to acquire a young-ish top 4 LD or potential top 4 LD currently playing in the NHL. Also looking to improve our top 9.

All prospects excluding Ehlers and Connor are available. Morrissey will only be moved for a young top 4 LD, and Petan would also require a quality young player in return. It's unlikely our 1st will be moved, but our other picks are very much available.

I'm not interested in upcoming UFAs unless they are dirt cheap to acquire.

Looking for prospects and young NHLers specifically on the right wing and at RHD

Looking to move Clarkson and Tyutin in deals I'm willing to add to and could be tempted to move Bobrovsky, Dubinsky, Foligno, Atkinson and Johnson

Let me know if you have any interest in them and we can work from there

Will listen on Evgeni Malkin. However, we will be surprised if someone can offer us enough to move him. He is a top 10 forward in the world but we need a big change. We want to be young but also competitive. Our biggest need is young NHL defenceman and any package for Malkin will have to start there.

Only untouchables are Larsson and Schneider. We're not rebuilding, but we're not making a crazy playoff push, so we're in the market for hockey deals.

:sharks looking to retool (**** Wilson for trading our 1st) the likes of Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau are being shopped for future based assets.

Burns, Vlasic and Pavelski (I know I said he was untouchable but I changed my mind) are also available but I'm less inclined to move any of these players, with these guys we're targeting young roster players and draft pick (grade A prospects work too :P) please don't offer crap for them.

Logan Couture is the least likely player to move on my roster, so feel free to make an offer on him but know the chances of me moving him are slim.

You could have it back...

:bruins

We're leaning towards going for it rather than tearing it down. Could do a complete 180 before all is said and done. Either way we'll probably focus on defensemen.

TRADE DEAL
:blues Daniel Winnik, Nik Spaling

:leafs Fabbri + 2nd (2016)

The Blues get two quality Bottom-6 forwards, Winnik signed for two years, both good for a cup run. The Leafs get a talented youth who had a major concussion last month and is a potential boom or bust, and a pick.

Winnik acquired by playoff-bound St. Louis Blues

The Hockey News said:
Winnik can play any forward position and displays plenty of defensive acumen.
Has excellent size for the NHL game, as well as plenty of determination.

Is this not the second game in a row you've overpaid for Daniel Winnik?

Are you Daniel Winnik?
