Just answered quite a few PM's.

Willie Mitchell, Brad Stuart, Francois Beauchemin and Kurtis Foster are all garnering the most interest.

Dangling David Booth out there, had a good year with the Canucks, and the FA market for wingers is likely to pushing 5M+ for a 25-30 goal scorer. PM if interested.

Devils finalize their defense:

Tobias Enstrom - Adam Larsson
Henrik Tallinder - Mark Fayne
Anton Volchenkov - Sami Salo
Alexander Urbom - Matt Corrente

I'm really very happy with it.

I don't know anything about Fayne. Enlighten me.
RH defenseman, mobile with some size, Rafalski-style wrist point shot, good on the breakout and solid (but not exceptional) defensively; called up more or less straight out of the NCAA last season and was one of the team's only good defensemen under MacLean, and improved under Lemaire.

Leads NJ's defense with 3 goals so far this season; arguably the team's best defenseman so far. Plays even strength, PK, sometimes on the PP (that usually goes to Larsson). Occasionally gets beat to the outside by speed, but he's getting better about that.

His minutes are going up as we start to draw Larsson's down a bit.

Great job by the Islanders to sign Thornton. I considered pursuing him myself - he's probably one of the ten best fourth liners in the NHL.

Thanks bud...
Yeah I agree...he brings so much to the table and its incredible how much of an impact he makes on his teammates, he's a true leader. I wish the Islanders could get him in real life.

Gleason and Wideman have signed with teams. There were many good offers for both of them.

If you didn't get Gleason or Wideman as you had hoped, don't worry, there are still plenty of good d-men available.

Top 4 Defensemen
Matt Carle - Has one offer from a bubble team. Waiting for more offers.
Barret Jackman - Has two offers from playoff teams which interest him. Will wait a bit longer now that Gleason and Wideman have signed.
Pavel Kubina - Has an offer which interests him.
Joe Corvo
Johnny Boychuk - Has two offers that he likes.
Scott Hannan
Filip Kuba
Matt Gilroy
Johnny Oduya

Bottom Pairing Defensemen
Shaone Morrisonn
Mike Commodore

Vancouver brings in 2 new faces

We're thrilled to bring in these two great forwards, Shane Doan and Alex Tanguay. We feel they're going to make the best 2nd line in the league, and bring a ton of offense and veteran savvy to this locker room.

The Carolina Hurricanes received David Booth in return for Tanguay and Prospect Chris Terry, further boosting our prospect pool.

Doan was signed to a 3 year contract worth 14.25M.
