Dallas is pretty pleased with Game 1. We didn't sign any UFA longer than 2 years, didn't get involved in the nutty contracts, and we aren't rushing any players to the NHL.

In the NHL, we've built a competitive team that won't be outworked by anyone, but they will struggle against the teams with top talent. We are in a position to challenge for a playoff spot while allowing our prospects to patiently develop.

Our 3 rookies next season in the NHL, Tomas Vincour, Philip Larsen, and Brendan Smith have 2 years of pro experience in the AHL. Despite playing most of last season as a 4th liner with Anaheim, Dallas is sending Devante Smith Pelly to the AHL to develop an offensive game. In addition, Dallas' depth and prospect pool is more talented than it has ever been.

We expect the Texas Stars to challenge for the Calder Cup.

Still looking to trade Antropov (looking to shed salary with him so anything will do) Helm (looking for a player with more offensive upside) Cleary (same as Helm) Ribeiro (could be had for a winger of comparable offensive ability)
Morris and White (prospects/picks/downgrade with less salary)

PM me offers

Am I supposed to believe this is under the cap? And where's Howard?

FYI .... our trade before the trade deadline included Tom Wandell who was already signed to a 2 year, one-way, contract worth $950,000/year. I see you left him off your projections.

With this line up, we feel we have a solid chance at another Stanley Cup. Sure, we lost David Krejci and Tuukka Rask, but the additions of Tobias Enstrom, Steve Downie, Barret Jackman, Jimmy Howard, Sami Lepisto and the emergence of Tyler Seguin really makes our team better now and in the future. We're very excited to get the season going with this line up.
