Yes,you are correct. As others have mentioned ,I would prefer to see the Bruins rested as we enter the playoffs, instead of killing ourselves to win these remaining meaningless games.Home ice is an advantage and as you suggest it could have made a difference last year. This year, the Bruins are significantly improved and in my opinion totally capable of defeating St.Louis without home ice advantage.

I don't see how trying to close out the game with our normal PP is "killing ourselves."

Good time, but alas, they couldn't pull it out. Only the 5th loss I've seen since 2009. (BUF regular season game in 2010, DET 6-1 blowout in 2011, COL 1-0 Columbus Day loss in 2011, NYR Game 4 last year and now this).

Did Kelly get hurt? He played only 10 minutes, less than Thornton.

Chris Kelly suffered an undisclosed injury and couldn’t finish off the third period of Tuesday night’s game. The issue was being downplayed by Claude Julien following the game

Yes this was from Haggs article after the game

Well that sucks if Kelly is injured.

Caron sucks-and I don't care what the Caron defenders tell me, I see him play-he is slow, he can't get a shot off and sometimes he just seems to give up on a play.

Hopefully Kelly's injury will be all better by the playoffs or they call somebody up from Providence who can play wing.

He was okay. Clode put him back on D in the 3rd. It was just a weird game all around, I think Carl even logged 20+ minutes.

The entire orginizaton wants the playoffs to start now. Look at the line up, when was the last time CJ dressed 7 D men? Hope Kelly is ok and Taking him out is only a precaution.

yeah but the guy that needs it the most is still being thrown out there for around 22 mins a game. Every minute that chara plays the SC parade gets farther and farther away. And while we're at it, is there any reason why Johnson wouldn't play 2 out of the next 3 games??

Do I? :p

In the 2009-2010 season I saw them win @SJ, the Double OT game against BUF and the Savvy OT winner.

In the 2010-2011 season the B's won the other 9 games I saw, including MTL Game 7 and VAN Game 6.

2011-2012 they won Game 1 against WSH.

2012-2013 they won games I saw @WPG, @TPA, @OTT.

So a lifetime record of 15-3-3 (one loss against NJ back in '06). Not too shabby.

I would say that some guys benefit from game days off. Some guys don't. Certainly sitting all of these guys for all of these games isn't an option.

And some think and are obssessed these guys are going to be tired if they play the next 3 games? They will have a 4 day break anyhow before the start of the playoffs.

The reason to sit them would be to prevent injury or to let them heal just like in Iggy case. Not because they could be tired.

Perfect opportunity to bring spooner back up but they'll probably have him making macaroni pictures with Jared knight instead

I'm currently at work, doing that thing where you try to hold in your laughing, but it only makes you laugh harder.

thank you

Yes,I would like to see Johnson play 2 out of the next three.Highly unlikely he will see any action in the playoffs, only if a game 7 goes into triple overtime and Tuuka is too exhausted to start game 1 of the next series.

OMG, if he sees any action at all then that means something very bad has happened. I'd like to not see that happen, and playing him now instead of Tuuk helps with that outcome. Rask has now played 61 games this year, thats more than enough since he has never played anything close to that before entering the playoffs.
