Watching this game...

And seeing Chytil, Kakko, and KA Miller...

Brings me flashbacks of me saying "hell no" to trading Horvat or Miller for any of those guys in early 2022.

I'm a fool.
the only one i was out on was lundqvist. i'm still out on him. i don't get why dallas gave up a 1st.

if i had known that we could have gotten a 1st for lundqvist, i would have said yes to doing that deal.

but we're acting as if they weren't offered a lottery pick for jt like 2 months after declining the rangers offer.

and that they couldn't have gotten at least a late 1st and roster player for an unsigned JT at this TDL.

I think the whole "why didn't we just trade him for the rangers offer thing" jt thing is very revisionist, unless you were someone who was really high on chytil last year. but i don't remember many being high on chytil

Canucks gave it another honest effort......but playing in front of AHL goaltending, they almost need to be perfect to have a chance to win.

And there's two guys the Canucks absolutely have to move on from this off-season if not sooner by the TDL-- Brock Boeser and Tyler Myers. They need a change of scenery and so do the Canucks.

It was like the rink was tilted every time they were out there. Boeser is just a huge liability along the wall; and Myers is just too slow to react down low. Maybe these guys can resurrect their careers somewhere else.

But seriously, the Canucks need to move on.

1. I’m not that impressed with Beauvillier. He makes some nice plays but seems soft. And gets lost out there on occasion. Only two games and I said before I’ll give it 10 games.

2. I wish they would just bench Myers and OEL. Myers is severely challenged around his net. OEL has as much passion as a sloth on downers.

3. I feel for Martin but his ceiling is as a backup who really isn’t capable of stealing games.

4. Podkolzin is exactly the type of player Tocchet wants in the lineup. He’s up here for good.

Not impressed at all. I hope also trade bait a long with the other guys.

That’s what I’ve seen as well with Beauvillier

He has had numerous opportunities to be first on the puck and pulls up.

I thought Bear had a good game and he seems to be improving by tiny steps. Can't really blame Martin for any of the goals really but his .810 sv % is simply appalling and he must give Tocchet a heart attack every single time he plays the puck. At one point he iced the puck in an attempt to do... ANYTHING. Passed from the left circle across the front of the net to his d man, unbelievable. Passed the puck directly to the Rangers multiple times. Every save is a scrambly adventure and he even got pretty lucky with crossbars and such. His rebound also control remains non existent. Do we really have no other goalies in this org other than Silovs? I would try anybody right now (to back up Delia).

I didn’t mind the game..they we’re in it till the end..and got the desired result.

Podz May never see the AHL ever again..A good learning experience for him in garbage time..Team is playing with better puck support, and not giving up.

I think podkolzin is back in the ahl for playoffs again. He needs to play meaningful games and there is no world championships for him.

Impossible to judge a new coach that takes over half way through a season with a team that has a clear desire to tank. Especially when it comes to lineup decisions.

Chytil was seen universally as a cap dump. Some people were high on Lundvist but people were also skeptical because he was doing not so good in the AHL and he is seen as another smallish rather one dimensional dman that gets point from the PP.

probably not a good idea to shell shock Silovs while he is developing.

Just think of Martin as a tank specialist
