man it was tough watching two more d go down tonight. I missed last nights game as I was out of town but was able to watch tonights game. That Phaneuf hit was 100% preventable. He took several strides towards his numbers. He would never have seen anything but numbers. Don't know what happened to Hamilton but he's real tough to lose right now.

I used to be a broadcaster and still do it occasionally for fun.

As a broadcaster you are trained to call the game from a neutral point of view and call the game without prejudice openly and honestly.

The rules are being severely bent here.

Media has to stop tilting and start being real.

Fans see through altered media agenda now..

ps: thorntons hit was tame as to what happened tonight on the ice in toronto. If Thorntons off season buddy doesn't cave it's probably 2 or 4 minutes for roughing, that's it. Orpik deserves an acadamey award for that one last night, he even wears a visor and it is not clear if he even took a glove to the chin or not. It wasn't like 22 tried to murder the guy, I think a 2 games suspension is fair ( not really) only because Orps went out on a stretcher. No stretcher, and it's a double minor at best.

The media was bored the other night had nothing better to do than make a mole in to a mountain.

Hopefully Shanihan's not wearing rose colored glasses when he speaks to 22. Thorts obviously felt bad, I mean it was his off season friend that got slapped two times in the visor. Really, it wsn't a big deal if you compare any of the other hits, even Scotts a month ago on Erickson and the hit on Erickson yesterday , with the puck 20 meteres away was a BRUTAl non-call.

Tonight Phaneuff should get 10 games minimum..that was an attempt to Injure intentiaonally!!

Pretty cool that we are leading the entire Eastern Conference in points, and with a game in hand on our closest rivals.

Miller is ok I guess, Boychuk seems optimistic for Tuesday. Good news. Dougie out for road trip, though. :(

No announcement seems like it might be good news. I figure if they had major concerns he would be at the hospital and flying back to Boston when cleared. Possible that he is still out though since concussion symptoms can show up a day or two later.

So at this point at least no news is good news.

Krejci is good on the PK-he also likes killing penalties.

At least the Bruins didn't spend half the night killing penalties again though.

I think it helps his overall game and prevents him from getting "bored" and float. He feels that the PK is the ultimate sign of trust and respect from the coaching staff. Krejci is all about earning his playing time even after the almost 7 years he's been here.

I remember a few quotes from him a few years ago saying how disappointed he was when he got taken off the PK. He felt like he let the coach and team down. He was determined to earn everything back and ultimately did.

Love that snarky little Czech.

I love Krejci too.

He ain't Crosby but he often goes overlooked because he is far more about the team than winning individual accolades.

I think they should play his comments from the playoffs when asked if he thought he was better than Crosby and Malkin before every game-shoot frame it and hang it on the wall. He is a core member of the Bruins because he gets the concept of team.

B's twitter:

This is very good news on Miller.

Stick a crap hit and I reserve the right to be pissed at another missed call by the zebras and this missed call is baffling-miller had the puck so the play should have been dead but for whatever reason the ref didn't blow the whistle and allowed Phaneuf enough time to board him and then they pretend like it didn't happen, but hey those hooks are super dangerous and not to be missed.

Refs also miss the slash to Miller's leg just before the boarding (which is why Miller stooped down).

Nasty business aside, I just love how Lucic is 'willing' goals of late, taking the puck deep and making things happen. And it's not just that he does it, it's when he does it. The Iginla goal could not have come at a better time tonight.

Wow I didn't know he was that upset when he was taken off the PK. I love Krejci, he has no ego, he's happier setting up a team mate than scoring a goal.

phaneuf :laugh: eventually this guy is gonna catch the beatdown of all beatdowns. dirty POS. too bad he's unwilling to fight his own battles against anyone legitimately tough.

what a beast move by lucic on that 4th goal. his legs have really been moving all year - key to him being an impact player.

Normally Phaneuf is clean. He throws big hits, but he doesn't know when to. He pinches at awful times and costs his team goals. It benefits the other team mostly, see Krejci's ot goal, and it's usually clean, so he just ends up being a moron.

In this play, he's just dirty and a moron.
