Never in a million years did I expect a heel turn from bland as bread blue collar Bo. I like it, and so I will respect the ounce of personality shown by Bo'ing him to hell.

This is the kind of thing that makes it fun. Go yell and heckle at a game, do it in a funny way not a belligerent way.

I was in Boston recently and caught a Bruins game at TD Garden, some dude in the row behind me was absolutely trashed and at some point took his shirt off and spent 5 minutes bellowing "Bruuuuuuiiiiiinnnssss" at the top of his lungs like Rocky bellowing for Adrian before security escorted him out, I hope the Bruins heard him. He also spilt an entire beer all over someone, that's just lame.

I really haven't thought much about Horvat at all in the last few months, that's kind of weird, but I guess through no fault of his own, I've simply tried to block out that lost decade where he had a bit of a spotlight on him by virtue of wearing the C. :dunno:

Are you sure it wasn't "Flanders"?

The Blues were ravaged by Covid during that playoff series. There is no comparison to 2011 Preds.

If any team can appreciate what it is like for your roster to get decimated by Covid, it's the Canucks.

I was saying Lou-rns

Last time these two teams met, Beauvillier had the last laugh:

- Carson Soucy was injured against Montreal and is questionable
- Demko expected to start

Vancouver Canucks’ Starting Lineup (unconfirmed)

Kuzmenko - Pettersson - Mikheyev
Boeser - Miller - Di Giuseppe
Joshua - Suter - Garland
Beauvillier - Blueger - Lafferty

Hughes - Hronek
Soucy - Myers
Cole - Juulsen

Demko

More to come.

Prefer Hog to be in and Beau or Joshua to sit

This is the fanbase that had protests to get Mike Gillis fired because he won two lopsided trades involving goalies.

The reaction to those comments from Horvat was absurd and he's going to get booed every time he touches the puck, I'd expect.

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis, you can't trust people.

I remain mystified as to why Hoglander always gets the short straw - but Joshua has been solid (and had another goal and assist against Montreal), and I do think Beauvillier has been better of late. No obvious “this guy sucks and needs to be sat” candidate, IMO.
We should probably expect a constant rotation of players from the bottom-six to sit. It helps to keep players on their toes and not get complacent.

I must be OOL. Why are we booing Horvat?

Horvat got kinda fired up in a post game interview after an Islander win back in April and pretty tamely intimated that the NYI fans were better than Vancouver fans, and the hordes of casuals were OUTRAGED by this.

Im pretty sure Im a minority in this case because I loved what Horvat brought to the team.

Obviously Horvat is not as talented as Hughes/Twins/Lu but at least I felt like he was respectable. Not sure why people dislike him so much.

I really hope they don't boo Horvat. It's silly to blame him for the bad teams the previous management regime put together while as the captain he had to face the media day after day. I don't want to speculate what happened behind closed doors but in public he seemed like a good leader given what was going on with the org. I've also never heard anyone (players or management) speak ill of him in any way. And for those reporters or fans trying to make some link between Miller saying he felt he had to do everything on a losing team and Horvat as a leader, that's pretty tenuous speculation.

I think he may have been miscast as a defensive stalwart but he was a no doubt top 6 centre and can be relied on in all game situations as long as he has anything approaching a competent defence and system to play in.
