I heard that Dolan stepped down as president of MSG.

Does this mean he is getting less involved in day to day operations?

Any implications for The Rangers?

Doubtful. Read the full report: http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory/james-dolan-steps-cablevision-president-23262619

Cablevision says CEO James Dolan is giving up his title as president of the company, and it promoted two long-time executives.

Cablevision says Brian Sweeney will replace James Dolan as president of the company, and it named Kristin Dolan chief operating officer. That position had been vacant. Sweeney and Kristin Dolan have both worked at the Bethpage, N.Y., company for more than 20 years, and they are both directors of the company.

Kristin Dolan, 48, is the wife of James Dolan, who will remain CEO. Sweeney, 49, is married to Deborah Dolan-Sweeney, James Dolan's sister and also a director of the company. Cablevision was founded by Charles Dolan, who is still chairman of the company, and six of his children are on the board of directors, as is his brother-in-law Edward Atwood.
