Vasilevskiy is the most consistent young tender in the league
so him, even with Gibson carrying Randy's Ducks
How so? Certainly not his 2nd half last year
season by season including playoffs, can't remember another more consistent goaltender posting those #s since Lundqvist
Gibson's SV% the last 4 years: .920, .924, .926, .927
Vasilevskiy's: .910, .917, .920, .927
His playoffs have been better than Gibson, but both only really had one year of significant action and they were both at .918.
Let us know when Vasilevskiy has a great playoff run.I will put Gibson on Vasilevskiy's tier when he has a great playoff run.
I see him on the same tier as Andersen/Hellebuyck but this regular season is solidifying him
In 2016 he was great considering the situation; had to jump in against the Pens when Bishop got injured in game 1. Had a respectable .925 save percentage too. Last playoffs he was decent. Did his job just fine.Let us know when Vasilevskiy has a great playoff run.
Fair enough, he's been good, but the poster I was responding to makes him sound like a Conn Smythe winner. In 2016 he was great considering the situation; had to jump in against the Pens when Bishop got injured in game 1. Agreed. To say Vasy is a tier above Gibson is ridiculous. Gibson is probably the better of the two even if his playoff stats don't look lovely.Fair enough, he's been good, but the poster I was responding to makes him sound like a Conn Smythe winner.
Oh so you want a stare down?
