Ive been thinking this for the last couple of months. He’ll never have the strength to move people off the spot, but his speed, stick work, and extremely underrated awareness are just phenomenal. This is not a slight on Provy in the least, it’s just flat out a compliment to Ghost. They make a great top pair.

Exactly correct. No one's bashing Provy. Ghost has been tremendous.

It's definitely a top pairing. Provy has to work on his turnovers and his PK game.

Well, you can't say it's a knee-jerk thread then. I still think Provorov is better, but I don't think the OP should be laughed at for suggesting this as some have done. Ghost has been truly excellent this year, and is underrated league wide and often within our own fanbase.

Agreed. About a week ago I said that Ghost has been our best Dman for the last few months in in the Ghost vs Rielly thread.

We are just blessed to have them both.

Now if our dipshit coach would allow the next stud to play his game, it will be key for the future.

Ghost is playing better than Provorov right now and is a natural PP QB, whereas Provorov looks uncomfortable in that role.
But Provorov is 3 years younger, has better defensive instincts and is better at attacking the net on offense.
And of course, Provorov is more physical.

I'd say Ghost is better now, but Provorov's upside is higher down the road.

Lol! Who cares who's our best d-man. I'm ok with having the best d-pair.) It is Provorov's sophomore year and he's doing ok (remember Ghost's last season). I think with his potential and work ethic it's just a matter of time before Provy becomes our 1D. I really hope Gostisbehere will be considered for the Norris this year but at the end of the day I don't give a **** who's our top defenceman Ghost, Provy or Manning if it helps us win the Stanley Cup.

Just think, Provy is 6th in the league in ES points for Dmen. That's pretty good considering he us more known for his defense.

And as for our PP specialist, he is 17th in ES points. Not too shabby. Ok course he is 1st in PP points.

And both are top 30 in overall points at #4 and T#27.

Also doesn't have as many hits as Hagg. I.e. 3 guys better than Ghost already!
