I find it amusing that it's ok for Canadian players to flock to Russia but it's not ok for Russian teenagers to play in the CHL
Russians and Belerussians were banned from the 2022 import draft. There are still Russian players in the CHL.

To bad Curran had to go to the KHL. It's what happens when you can't get a contract from over 100 NHL, AHL, and Euro league teams.

Here's an official press release from Amica on "The AMP":

Welcome to the AMP: Amica Insurance awarded naming rights to Civic Center LINCOLN, R.I.,

Sept. 6, 2022 – Amica Insurance is pleased to announce it has been awarded the naming rights to the Civic Center in downtown Providence. The venue, which is being renamed Amica Mutual Pavilion (the AMP Providence), is home to the Big East’s Providence College men’s basketball team and the AHL’s Providence Bruins ice hockey team. It also hosts major national touring acts, family shows and other sporting events.

“Amica was founded in Providence more than 115 years ago, and securing naming rights to the Civic Center honors our lasting commitment to the state,” said Ted Shallcross, who will take over as Amica’s new president and CEO on Oct. 1. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority to continue making great memories in this building.”

“We are thrilled to announce our naming rights partnership with Amica Mutual Insurance, an iconic brand that has long served at the center of Rhode Island’s business community,” said Bernie Buonanno, chairman of the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority. “The robust, competitive RFP process for the naming rights is a testament to the tremendous value our arena and convention center bring to the city of Providence and to Rhode Island at large. We look forward to a great partnership with Amica, and to welcoming sports and music fans from across the state and around the region to the AMP Providence.”

The deal, which also includes naming rights within the Convention Center, is initially for 10 years at approximately $900,000 per year.

A press conference will be held at the AMP Providence on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m.
