Nothing in that story indicates he bet against his team.

Yes it did. I quote

"The bet was on the second halves of three Week 10 games, the sources said, and included the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who were leading the Cardinals 17-13 at halftime. The Buccaneers were 1-point favorites for the second half. They failed to cover the second-half spread but went on to defeat the Cardinals 30-27. Shaw's bet lost"

Bucs were favored by 1. They lost the 2nd half 17-13. Shaw lost the bet.

Thus, the only bet he could have made was on the Cards to lose.

It was a parlay though. He could have bet on the Cards to cover and still lost the bet if one or more subsequent bets lost.

Its immaterial though as separate reporting has confirmed he did bet the Bucs to cover: Cardinals CB Josh Shaw bet against Arizona in 3-game parlay

That ESPN link though leaves it unclear as to whether or not he bet against the Cards. It only stated he bet on the game.

Things just keep getting worse and worse for the Cowboys.

from dfw.cbslocal.com:

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods was arrested Tuesday for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in Frisco, police said.

Woods was charged with possession of marijuana over two ounces but less than four, tampering with evidence, and he was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the police report, an officer pulled Woods over after he saw him driving 77 mph in a 60 mph zone along Highway 380. He was eventually pulled over in the 15500 block of Dallas Parkway.

Police said Woods tried to hide a marijuana cigarette by putting it in a water bottle. The officer also found “two glass mason jars full of marijuana, a small gold cylinder container full of marijuana, multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia.”

Envelopes with pills were also found in his vehicle and police said they will be tested. Woods told the officer they were Vitamin D pills.

The defensive tackle had been ruled out of Thursday night’s game against the Chicago Bears due to a knee injury.

Woods has played in eight out of 12 games this season with 15 total tackles.

I think a lot of us agree that weed needs to be legalized, but until it is these guys need to be more careful.

you have pot in the car and you decide to drive almost 80 in a 60. A smarter guy would tap cruise control at 60.

Steelers have now cut Kelly.

from espn.com:

The Steelers cut Kameron Kelly after the safety was arrested outside a bar in Pittsburgh's South Side early Friday morning on two counts of making terroristic threats and one count of resisting arrest.

According to court paperwork, police say Kelly was being disorderly at Mario's South Side Saloon. When an officer told Kelly he had to leave, he became confrontational.

Per the complaint, Kelly had already threatened to knock out an employee at the bar after his music choice was skipped on the jukebox.

Outside the bar, according to the complaint, the arresting officer accidentally stepped on the foot of a woman, who began arguing. Kelly said the woman was "his girl" and pushed his chest against the officer's and threatened him, according to the complaint.

Kelly then resisted arrest, arguing with officers, and an officer punched Kelly in the face multiple times during the struggle, according to the complaint. Kelly was treated at a Pittsburgh hospital for a split lip and was then taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

Other than waiving him, the Steelers have not commented on Kelly's arrest.
