Cowboys fine Randle.

from espn.go.com:

Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said backup running back Joseph Randle will be fined significantly for being arrested for shoplifting in a Frisco, Texas, mall.

USA Today Sports reported Wednesday that the fine will be for one week's pay on his base salary of $495,000, which amounts to $29,117.

Randle was charged with a misdemeanor Class B theft of $50 to $500, according to police. He was released on writ bond at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Frisco Police Lt. Jason Jenkins said Randle is accused of attempting to steal underwear and cologne from Dillard's in Stonebriar Centre Mall.

Randle met with Garrett on Tuesday and addressed his teammates on Wednesday morning. Garrett said Randle will play in Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

"He took full responsibility for it," Garrett said. "There were a lot of circumstances that were surrounding the situation, but there are no excuses, no explanations for this. He took full responsibility, and he made a really poor decision. He recognizes that."

Bomani Jones said that the reason he left without paying is cause the line was too long.

wtf?

From other reports they say he had paid for other items already. Plus he's at Dillards on Monday night, I mean maybe his is more of a place to be than my local store, but you could find another open register pretty easily.

My favorite excuse though is the guy who claims to be his father who said Randle's daughter was "clowning pretty bad" and he was going to take her out of the store and then go back.

No idea the real story, but so far it's been interesting that's for sure.

John Boyett, Broncos safety, was arrested:

As an allegedly highly intoxicated and uncooperative John Boyett was handcuffed in the back of a patrol car Monday evening, police were unable to read him his rights because the Broncos practice squad safety kept repeatedly telling the arresting officer to "contact his boss, John Elway."

Elway is not Boyett's boss, anymore. After the Broncos read details of the Greenwood Village Police Department's report on Boyett's arrest, Elway, the team's general manager, announced Thursday afternoon the safety had been released.

In summary, according to the police report, Boyett was highly intoxicated, threatened a bartender at a sports bar where he ate, drank and did shots, was belligerent to his fellow patrons, assaulted a cab driver, stole a shovel from a construction site so he could whack the cab driver, fled the scene and tried to hide from police by trying to bury himself under mulch.

And then as he was handcuffed and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle, Boyett, 24, repeatedly yelled at an officer to contact his boss "John Elway."

He had a good camp and squandered a good shot at making the team full time next year with Quinton Carter and Rahim Moore's contracts expiring.

Per rotoworld:

Titans RB Shonn Greene was arrested for fleeing the scene of a parking incident on Friday night.

Greene was parked in a handicap parking space in Franklin, Tennessee on Friday evening. When a parking enforcement officer tried to issue Greene a ticket, he got into his car, maneuvered around the officer's vehicle and left the scene. Greene was charged with a handicap parking violation, driving on a revoked/suspended license, reckless driving and resisting stop/halt/frisk. Green turned himself in Friday night after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest, and was released after posting a $2,000 bond. His status for Sunday's game against the Texans is unknown.
