http://www.azcentral.com/story/spor...jie-grant-cited-on-suspicion-of-dui/19683369/

Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Samajie Grant was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence early Saturday morning, hours after helping the UA to a 42-35 win over rival Arizona State.

Grant will not start in Friday's Pac-12 Championship game against Oregon, coach Rich Rodriguez said in a statement to the Star on Saturday evening.

"We were notified earlier today of an issue involving Samajie Grant. After communicating with Samajie, local law enforcement and our athletics administration, we've decided that the appropriate form of action is to make sure Samajie receives counseling and takes part in community-service activities," Rodriguez said. "We're disappointed in Samajie's decision-making, but we expect this to be an isolated incident and he won't be starting in the Pac-12 Championship game."

Grant failed a field sobriety test, said Deputy Tom Peine, a spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff's Department. Grant cooperated with authorities and was cited and released at the scene, Peine said. Grant was pulled over by a deputy on the DUI enforcement unit that was patrolling the area of North Campbell Avenue and East Sixth Street, Peine said.

The deputy noticed a Chevrolet Camaro traveling west on Sixth Street and turning north onto Campbell, Peine said. The deputy observed a vehicle with the license plate lights not working and observed behavior of a possibly impaired driver, he said.

Yeah but he was also having a career year and most likely would have been brought back since #94 might retire. Good riddance. 2nd time under investigation.

Surprising. The 49ers had supported due process for the past couple months.

Also, quite a collection they had in Santa Clara: Perrish Cox, Aldon Smith, Chris Culliver, and now possibly McDonald will have faced felony charges.

Junior Galette was arrested, apparently on domestic violence charges. Used to like this guy but he's become kind of a punk. Loomis press conference at 10:30 may address this situation.

On the surface, Galette thing now doesn't seem to be a huge deal. He threw his cleaning lady out of the house. His bond was only $600 which tells me this was probably a mandatory arrest situation.

He's still a punk though.

Sounds like he never hit her at all but just grabbed her and hauled her out the door.

Clearly he is an idiot, you only have to see his twitter to know that, but this doesnt seem like a legit domestic violence scenario. More like a ghetto people doing ghetto stuff scenario.

If an NFL player and his friend both "jumped" me as she claimed, I would probably be dead or in the hospital. But she only had scratches on her face and a pulled out earring. Doesnt add up.

http://www.dailydot.com/politics/new-york-jets-jermaine-cunningham-arrested-revenge-porn/

In what’s believed to be the highest-profile case of “revenge porn†to date, New York Jets linebacker Jermaine Cunningham has been charged with sharing sexual images without the subject’s consent.

The Union County, N.J. prosecutor's office has charged Cunningham with third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree invasion of privacy—the state’s standard revenge porn law. “It would be accurate to describe the relationship between the defendant and victim as a dating relationship,†Mark Spivey, a representative for the prosecutor’s office, told the Daily Dot.

The charge stems from alleged “dissemination of images of a sexual nature to another person†without that person’s consent, Spivey added.

In an incident report and summary, the prosecutor's office said the charges stem from a police visit to Cunningham's home on Dec. 29. He consented to a search, and police found a handgun in his car. He's also been charged with fourth-degree unlawful weapons transport.

In New Jersey, where Cunningham was arrested, the law against distributing sexualized images without their subject’s consent is one of the oldest and harshest on the books.

People found guilty of third-degree invasion of privacy in New Jersey face between three to five years in prison, Carrie Goldberg, a New York-based lawyer who specialized in revenge porn cases, told the Daily Dot. However, she said, they often plea-bargain and receive reduced sentences.
