With all that I said about the need to beat Americans, I think that we should rest Nabokov and our injured defensemen. We cannot afford to have both Anton and Vitali out - they are our most physical defensemen and will be sorely needed against any opponent, but Canada in particular.

of course we should rest volchenkov. but krikunov doesnt know how to coach a game w less than 8 defensement, so that's impossible. no he wont be as rested/healthy for the huge game tomorrow. it's completely insane that nabokov is playing today when he'll have to play in an elimination game less than 24 hours later. this is so dumb. these decisions are why russia wont win gold. sucks.
