It's a one period thing right now. Maz's last appearance was 3 goals on 5 shots and less than six minutes of play before a goalie switch. He just got cleanly beat high glove by Kopitar. Both of our goalies are inconsistent right now ... either NHL star of the week or getting pulled with virtually no middle ground. Neither has shown the ability to take the reins for more than about a three game stretch before crumbling.

Beat by Kopitar with the help of a great screen by Josi. Instead of closing the gap on Kopitar, Josi froze and completely screened Maz.

Kopitar was out a bit high (top of the circle when starting his shooting motion) for Josi to pick up. If Josi gets out of position in the box, it opens up the down low play. It was a good shot through a partial screen but that doesn't change the fact that neither goalie has approached consistently good play for more than a couple of games.

Can't let a player like Kopitar skate to the face off circle with his head up, have to come out and challenge him not sit back and go down on one knee to screen the goalie.

And don't say Maz was beat clean and then change that he was partially screened to make a point. Yes, neither goalie has played consistently but what do you expect from one goalie with only one NHL game under his belt and a 22 year old that wasn't expected to even be playing in North America this year.

Watch Maz ... he saw enough to know where it was going and was beaten cleanly by a good shot to the corner. Most goals have some screening, deflecting, or brainfarting (especially goals we allow). The PP gets somebody open when executed well ... even ours. Their puck movement put Kopitar into space and put Josi into no mans land ... couldn't get out to Kopitar, was leaving his man alone next to the net with where he was, neither forward in position to get back over and cover the defensive left point, laser wrister for the goal. The PK depends on people playing their assignments .... Josi going to the top of the circles takes him out of position and destroys the box.

Maz beaten again. Another good shot by a King hits twine behind the goalie.

Solid game, a little upset about the late equalizer though. He was all alone out there to shoot it in.

But what a quick reaction by the Predators. Simply stormed the net to put it in.

Preds win. What a wild last minute there. Carter scores and I'm mad and then Fisher gets the goal a few seconds later. Glad to see them come out with a win there

Next GDT please no cute/smart Alec/taunting/insert whatever title for it. Just plain ol' Preds vs. Redwings or something similar to this GDT. Please.
